Anyone interested in advancing computationally intensive and data intensive research and education in the Northeast is welcome. If you are simply interested to hear about what we are doing you are welcome as well.
Community meetings
Twice each month, the ERN hosts a virtual meeting that features topics of interest to the research computing and networking infrastructure community in the Northeast.
The ERN Resource Sharing Proof of Concept implemented a user-friendly method for launching high performance computing jobs on different clusters at multiple campuses. The prototype implementation enabled launching jobs across federated clusters at 9 cooperating campuses plus the Google Cloud Platform. It is now being put into production use for a cooperative effort between Rutgers and Penn State.
The ERN perfSONAR mesh is a tool for identifying and diagnosing network throughput and delay issues across nine statewide research networks in the Northeast. The mesh currently includes more than 25 PerfSONAR nodes spanning nine states
